In today’s organizational environment, effective collaboration and communication between teams is more important than ever. To achieve this, organizations are turning to the practice of facilitation to guide and lead their teams to success.
At PYXIS, we offer three different training courses focusing on specific aspects of facilitation and how they can be used to improve team performance.
Facilitation for high-performance teams
Facilitation is the act of leading and guiding a group of people to achieve a common goal. A facilitator helps create the conditions for more effective, satisfying and productive collaboration and engagement between team members. This training course aims to introduce participants to the key skills and practices needed for effective facilitation, and to help them develop their ability to listen, be present and guide others towards fuller discussions.
The one-day training will cover the role of a facilitator, the importance of setting intentions, and techniques for exploring perspectives and making them visible. Participants will also discover different facilitation tools and processes, and have the opportunity to put these skills into practice through interactive activities.
Facilitation of authentic retrospectives
The retrospective is a crucial event in the agile process, but it is often neglected or poorly executed. This training course aims to provide participants with the tools and techniques needed to increase the effectiveness of retrospectives. The one-day course will cover the key stages of retrospectives and provide various activities that can be adapted to different contexts as well as strategies for creating a safe and productive environment for the team.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn through hands-on activities, case studies and role plays. They will also discuss pitfalls and pitfalls to avoid when facilitating retrospectives and learn how to create tracking and accountability mechanisms.
Facilitation in times of conflict
Conflict is a natural part of teamwork, but it is often overlooked or avoided. This training aims to provide participants with the skills and techniques necessary to effectively deescalate and manage conflicts within their teams. The one-day training will cover the nature of conflict, the different stages and levels of conflict as well as strategies for managing conflict and difficult conversations.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn through hands-on activities, workshops and simulations. They will also become familiar with active listening, empathy and emotions in conflicts and learn how to give and receive feedback.
These training courses offer a wide range of skills and techniques that can be used to improve collaboration and communication within teams. Whether it’s energizing retrospectives, managing conflict or improving team dynamics, these training courses are designed to help organizations and teams achieve a high level of performance and navigate the complexity of their communications. Finally, these training courses are suitable for Scrum Masters, agile coaches, facilitators, coaches and team managers or anyone wishing to improve communication between individuals and work teams.
