In this one-day* course, students engage in discussions and exercises to explore practical uses of AI tools and techniques to help them as a Scrum Master and to learn how to enable their Scrum Teams and organization to effectively use AI. The Professional Scrum Master – AI Essentials (PSM – AI Essentials) course continues the journey into Scrum by diving deeper into:
- What AI means for Scrum Masters
- How Scrum Masters use AI to improve their capabilities and support the Scrum Team
- How AI can be applied by the members of a Scrum Team
- How AI influences the organization, including essential guidance on adopting AI responsibly and securely
Throughout this course, participants gain the skills and confidence to harness AI effectively, ensuring they enable high-performing Scrum Teams in an ever-evolving digital landscape. Ultimately, an effective Scrum Master should understand AI, its impact and how to apply it.
This training prepares students with a greater understanding of AI and how it can be applied for use by Scrum Teams. When a student leaves the classroom they will be able to:

- Describe how AI supports effective Scrum Team facilitation and collaboration

Certification
All participants completing the Professional Scrum Master-AI Essentials course receive a password to take the Professional Scrum Master Essentials (PSM-AI Essentials) certification exam.
The industry-recognized PSM-AI Essentials certification requires a minimum passing score of 85%.
Class participants of official Scrum.org classes who attempt the PSM-AI Essentials certification exam within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a second attempt at no additional cost.

Is there any prerequisite for this course?
Nope. This course is AI beginner-friendly and walks you through everything step-by-step, even if you’ve never used an AI tool before.
Do I need to participate in any Scrum Master course before attending this class?
Although it’s not mandatory, it would be beneficial if you have already participated in the PSM or PSM-Advanced class.
What does practical exercise mean? Do we really use AI tools in class to create some results?
Absolutely. In each session, you will get one or more practical exercises to experience AI tools in various scenarios. You will make your hands dirty with other classmates by using AI tools, which gives you an exceptional experience of learning.
Do I need to already have accounts for various AI tools?
No. You don’t need to do anything. We will give you credentials (username and password) for each AI tool that is supposed to be used in class.
What type of AI tools will be used in the class?
AI tools are evolving daily. So, we can’t give you a fixed list of AI tools. But, you will experience a vast range of AI tools for various scenarios that generate various types of content (like text, images, video, audio, etc).
Do I need to already know how to use various AI tools?
No. For each exercise, we will give you a quick introduction to the AI tool and how to use it. Don't worry about it. This is a discovery-based learning. So, be ready to encounter a lot of new things in the class.
Do I need to setup or install any AI tool on my computer before the class?
No. All AI tools that we will use in the class are online services. So, you don’t need to setup or install anything on your computer.
What do I learn for the Scrum Mastery side?
The foundation of this class is the PSM-Advanced course, where you get familiar with various stances of a Scrum Master. This class takes you to the next level by incorporating AI capabilities into the various stances, including teaching, coaching, mentoring, facilitating, change agent, impediment remover, and orchestrator (new stance).
