This course will provide you with evidence and ideas for effective utilization. Evidence-Based Management is based on the use of data and evidence to make informed decisions, improve performance and align organizational goals with concrete actions.

Evidence-Based Leadership (EBL) is based on three essential pillars: Objectives, Evidence and Empiricism.

Participants will leave with a basic understanding of what Evidence-Based Management (EBM) is and how to start applying it.

Contents

  • Setting expectations: Setting expectations is at the heart of every manager’s role. Yet there’s no single way to do it. This course will provide you with key ideas on how to use objectives and metrics to better define and manage your team’s expectations.
  • Using evidence and data: Evidence and data are not always well perceived. You’ll learn how to recognize the different levels of acceptance of information and how to use them effectively so that your evidence is well understood and accepted.
  • People and performance management: People and performance management are unavoidable in any organization and need to be well aligned. This training will help you align performance management with goal achievement and evidence, linking product results to team and individual performance.
  • Stakeholder management: Stakeholder management is often a political game, where stakeholders influence career progression. It’s about satisfying them as much as involving them. You’ll learn to “manage up” using evidence, and to introduce evidence as a win-win solution rather than a threat.

Participants will leave this course with practical tools and an action plan to implement immediately in their work.
